GRE (Graduate Record Examination)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test is taken by individuals applying to graduate schools. The test questions are designed to measure verbal, quantitative and analytical writing skills and are not necessarily related to any particular field of study. The test reflects the opportunities and efforts that have contributed to the development of those abilities. IMFS has the distinction of being one of the first classes to be prepared to teach the latest pattern of the GRE to our students. In addition to the regular pattern of teaching, the student will undergo vigorous training in writing the essays. Since his skills in English will be exposed, he will be taught basic English grammar and be taught how and what to compose in an essay.

You will be able to see your scores immediately after the test. Prior to seeing your scores, you have the option of cancelling the results and rescheduling to take the test again at another time. You must wait 30 days before taking this test again. If you take it sooner, the scores will not count. You can appear 5 times in a calendar year for the GRE. A score of 153 + in the verbal section and 159 + in the quantitative section will ensure your admission in a ranked university and will improve your chances of getting financial assistance.

The GMAT CAT includes Verbal, Quantitative, Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing questions. Data Sufficiency and Problem Solving questions are mingled throughout the quantitative section. The verbal section comprises of Sentence Correction, Reading Comprehension, and Critical Reasoning questions.

The GMAT originally administered in 1954, is a standardised test, and so, while every test is not identical, each test covers the same content in roughly the same way. The main focus of our course material is on reviewing the math and verbal concepts to enable you to get a good score on the GMAT. Strategic reviews, exercises, and practice tests with explanations will help you brush up on any math and verbal skills you have forgotten since high school.

HOW IS THE GMAT SCORED?

You will receive five scores for the GMAT: an overall scaled score, ranging from 200 to 800; a math subscore, ranging from 0 to 60; a verbal subscore, ranging from 0 to 60; a score for the Analytical Writing Assessment, ranging from 0 to 6, and a score for the IR section ranging from 1-8.
